Delete your Dragonfly account
Dragonfly is published by Abella Health. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open Dragonfly and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Type the confirmation word when prompted, then tap Permanently delete my account.
You will be signed out straight away and sent a confirmation email.
Or ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email contact@abella-health.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We will confirm the request, delete the account, and reply to confirm. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile — name and email address
- your journey — every goal, stage, daily objective and completed step
- the sentence you wrote describing what you wanted to change
- your onboarding answers, including anything you wrote in your own words
- your sign-in credentials and any active sessions
This is a real deletion, not a deactivation. Your records are removed from the live database in a single operation and nothing is recoverable — not by you, and not by us. Encrypted database backups are kept on a rolling seven-day cycle and your records disappear from those as the cycle turns.
What is kept, and why
Your account records are deleted, not archived. Server logs may hold operational records such as timestamps and internal identifiers for a short period; these carry no personal content. Where the law requires us to keep something — a record of the deletion request itself, for example — we keep only that, and no longer than our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy allow.
If you bought a subscription, Apple and Google hold their own record of that transaction under their policies. We do not control those records.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a Dragonfly Premium subscription, and does not issue a refund. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and Google, not by us, and only you can cancel one:
- iPhone or iPad — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Dragonfly → Cancel Subscription
- Android — Play Store → profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Dragonfly → Cancel
Cancel before you delete your account, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
